The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) recently held a unique annual retreat at the Centre, placing significant emphasis on staff mental health and collaborative teamwork alongside strategic planning for the year.
The two-day retreat provided a valuable opportunity for KAIPTC staff to reflect on past achievements, reconnect with colleagues, and recharge for the challenges and opportunities of 2025.
Moving beyond traditional strategy sessions, the agenda incorporated a diverse range of engaging activities designed to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
Team-building games encouraged collaboration and strengthened interpersonal bonds, while dedicated stress management workshops equipped staff with practical tools and techniques to navigate the demands of their roles.
This year’s retreat holds particular significance as the KAIPTC celebrates its 20th anniversary, serving as a platform to reaffirm the Centre’s commitment to aligning its operational goals with its new Strategic Plan. The retreat also underscored the institution’s recognition that its people are its greatest asset, making their well-being a paramount priority.
