The Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Major General Richard Addo Gyane, has delivered a compelling call to action to young Ghanaians, urging them to actively participate in national development, not just during elections. .
Addressing the 2025 Ghana Youth Congress in Accra under the theme, “Knowledge inspires, but action transforms,” Maj Gen Gyane emphasized the urgency for the youth to step forward, become actively engaged, and make a tangible impact on the nation’s progress.
In a passionate address, the Commandant challenged young Ghanaians to transcend passive participation in democratic processes.
He implored them to take ownership of governance, champion initiatives that drive national development, and lead with unwavering conviction in their endeavors. “Democracy is not a spectator sport; the responsibility is ours be the architects of Ghana’s future”, he highlighted
