KAIPTC and UNIDIR Join Forces for Global Peace and Security

The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), has announced a significant strategic partnership with the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR).

This collaboration marks a crucial step towards strengthening policy development and fostering practical solutions for pressing global peace and security challenges.

It is also expected to enable KAIPTC to further its mission of providing world-class training and research, ultimately contributing to a more stable and secure international environment.

The newly forged partnership, according to the Commandant of the KAIPTC, Major General, Richard Addo-Gyane, will leverage the expertise of both institutions. KAIPTC’s renowned capacity in peacekeeping training and operational insights will complement UNIDIR’s established research capabilities in disarmament and security issues.

This synergy is therefore expected to generate impactful research, inform policy frameworks, and contribute to more effective peacebuilding and conflict resolution strategies worldwide. Major General Gyane emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating its potential to significantly enhance the Centre’s contribution to the global peace and security architecture.
