It is with profound sadness that I, on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), extend our deepest condolences to the Royal Family, the Government and people of the Kingdom of Norway following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V.
King Harald V’s long and distinguished reign was marked by dedicated service to his nation and a deep commitment to the values of peace, unity, dignity and public service. His leadership and steadfast devotion to the Norwegian people earned him respect and admiration both at home and internationally.
For KAIPTC, this loss carries a particular significance. Norway has been a longstanding and valued partner of the Centre and an important supporter of our shared commitment to strengthening peacekeeping, peacebuilding and human security in Africa. This enduring partnership reflects the strong bonds of cooperation between Ghana and Norway and our common aspiration for a more peaceful and secure world.
As we mourn the passing of His Majesty, we join the people of Norway in remembering a monarch whose life was devoted to the service of his country and the promotion of values that transcend borders.
