KAIPTC Partners Austria to roll out Africa’s first Political Advisor Course for Peace Support Operations in Africa

The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) has partnered the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defense and Sports to develop the first-ever Political Advisor Course for Peace Support Operations in Africa. This course comes to critically fill a need and void in grooming Political Advisors who play a very critical role in providing leadership support for Commanders of Military Operations and Heads of Missions in Africa.

KAIPTC trains Research Staff of the Parliament of Zimbabwe

KAIPTC, at the request of the Parliament of Zimbabwe, has conducted a capacity building workshop in Policy Analysis and Design for selected staff of the Department of Research of the legislative body. The five-day workshop, aimed at equipping the participants with the requisite knowledge and skills in public analysis and design, in order to deliver effective technical and research assistance to committees and members of Parliament. Participants comprised research officers who all hold various academic qualifications from different disciplines such as Law, Economics, Political Science, Public Health, Gender studies, Humanities and Development Studies.
