Pilot And Review Of The Ghana Armed Force Gender Advisors And Gender Focal Persons Online Courses

The KAIPTC eLearning team and the Women, Youth, Peace and Security Institute (WYPSI) conducted a pilot and review session with selected Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Gender Advisors and Focal Persons at the Centre on January 15, 2024 to provide initial assessment and evaluation of the newly developed Gender Advisors and Gender Focal Persons courses for the GAF.

The online course is a critical tool for GAF’s ongoing efforts to equip its appointed Gender Advisors and Focal Persons with the knowledge, skills and tools required to effectively perform their duties, thus contributing to GAF’S gender mainstreaming efforts. Developed as part of the Canadian Elsie Initiative for Uniformed Women, the two self-paced online courses are being implemented by KAIPTC-WYPSI in collaboration with the GAF.

Here is what one Focal Point had to say about the online course

“The inclusion of the videos made the course easy to understand, engaging, and practical. The presentation and supportive materials provided a better understanding as the course progressed. The course objectives in my view were met as well as end state achieved.
