KAIPTC responds to call by local community health care facility

As part of its corporate social responsibility and belief in the shared interest and welfare of the community within which the Centre operates, the Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre responded to a call to donate items to the Kpeshie Medical Reception Station (MRS).

The items, which were presented by Air Cdre George Arko-Dadzie, former Deputy Commandant included two table top fridges, two 32 inches wall mountable LED flat screen televisions and medical items, namely; digital thermometer, portable weighing scale, adjustable pipette, tally counter and a blood roller mixer, at a total cost of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC10,000.00).

The items were received by the Physician Assistant, Capt Jennifer Awitty Kuffuor in the presence of the outgoing and incoming GOC South Command; Maj Gen Amoah Ayisi and Brigadier General Sammy Asare.

The Kpeshie MRS caters for the health needs of the military and civilian population in the Teshie military enclave, and it was only proper that the Centre contributes to boost healthcare delivery at the station.  It is believed that the donation would go a long way to enhance the capacity of the Kpeshie MRS to be a lot more responsive as far as the health of the community is concerned.
