In a related story on the Centers’ new strategic plan, the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) recently held joint annual retreats to strategize its implementation.
The retreats focused on familiarizing staff with the new strategic priorities, brainstorming innovative ways for departments to implement the plan, and fostering team spirit and a new mindset among staff.
The Commandant opened the retreats, emphasizing the importance of the Centre’s direction, vision, and mission. He stressed the need to integrate these elements into the implementation of the new strategic plan and translate them into achievable goals. The Commandant also addressed the upcoming leadership changes for departmental restructuring and commercialization efforts. Staff members participated in brainstorming sessions and team-building activities designed to enhance collaboration and ensure the successful execution of the new strategic plan.
