Accra, Ghana – 4 September 2026 – The Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), Air Vice Marshal David Anetey Akrong, has visited the Embassy of Norway in Accra to sign the book of condolence following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of Norway.
The Commandant visited the Embassy to convey, on behalf of the management and staff of KAIPTC, heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Norway, as well as the Royal Family, during this period of mourning.
Air Vice Marshal Akrong expressed deep sympathy over the loss and extended solidarity to the people of Norway, acknowledging the significant role of the late King and his service to the Norwegian nation.

The visit also highlighted the longstanding relationship between Ghana and Norway, particularly Norway’s support for peacekeeping, training and broader peace and security initiatives at KAIPTC.
The signing of the condolence book reflects the Centre’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Ghana and Norway, while standing in solidarity with the Norwegian people and the Royal Family during this period of mourning.
