Independent Institutional and Financial Sustainability Assessment of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC)
The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) is a leading regional institution supporting peace operations, conflict prevention, mediation and security sector capacity development in Africa. Over the years, the Centre has benefited from significant support from the Government of Ghana and a broad range of international development partners.
To support KAIPTC’s long-term institutional effectiveness and sustainability, development partners have agreed to commission an independent institutional assessment. The assessment is intended to provide an objective basis for future institutional strengthening and to inform discussions on future donor support and funding arrangements.
The assessment is intended as a forward-looking institutional review and does not constitute a statutory financial audit.
The purpose of the assignment is to undertake an independent assessment of KAIPTC’s institutional, governance and financial arrangements and to identify opportunities to strengthen its effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and long-term sustainability.
