KAIPTC Opens Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Resilience Course

The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC), in collaboration with Cyber1Defense Communication Limited, commenced a five-day Professional Certificate Course in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Resilience on Monday, 12 October 2026.

Delivering the opening remarks on behalf of the Management of the Centre, WG Cdr Christian Eshun (Rtd) highlighted the growing threat of cybercrime amid Ghana’s rapid digital transformation, stressing that cybersecurity has become a critical matter of national security and economic stability.

He explained that the training would provide participants with hands-on techniques to manage cyber incidents, safeguard sensitive data and navigate Ghana’s digital ecosystem securely. He also highlighted the professional opportunities associated with cybersecurity expertise and the importance of building networks among participants to encourage continued knowledge-sharing and collaboration beyond the training.

In his concluding remarks, he reminded participants that cybersecurity is not only about protecting systems but also about protecting people, encouraging them to actively engage in the sessions and apply the knowledge acquired to protect their institutions, families and communities against online fraud, scams and other forms of digital exploitation.
