(Kigali, Rwanda. 28th May, 2024) – The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) is honored to participate in the 17th International Conference & Exhibition on ICT for Education, Training & Skills Development. This prestigious event takes place at the Kigali Convention Center in Rwanda from 28th to 31st May 2024, under the theme “Education Fuels Innovation, Investment Amplifies Skills: Africa’s Vibrant Leap Forward”.
eLearning has been integral to KAIPTC’s training programs since 2020, complementing the Centre’s onsite training through the development and delivery of over 11 courses. Over the years, KAIPTC has trained over 4,500 participants through its eLearning facility, providing consistent and standardized training materials that ensure a uniform learning experience regardless of location.
KAIPTC’s Participation
At this year’s conference, KAIPTC aims to increase awareness and visibility among educational and training institutions about its eLearning programs and to promote the various training, research, and academic programs it offers. Led by Senior eLearning Officer, Ms. Elorm Hatsu Fiebor, KAIPTC will host a workshop titled “Designing Content for Online Learning”.
Ms. Fiebor emphasizes that this session aims to share KAIPTC’s experiences and lessons learned in developing online courses with conference participants.
“This is the third time KAIPTC is participating in this conference. We hope to leverage new opportunities that digital learning offers. eLearning is the future for training institutions like KAIPTC, and we aim to be at the forefront of delivering eLearning programs,” Ms. Fiebor said.
The conference also provides the team with the opportunity to explore the latest trends and understand emerging technologies shaping the future of learning, ensuring the Centre remains effective and relevant in the rapidly evolving field. The event further offers a unique networking opportunity with professionals from the education, technology, and eLearning industries to share ideas.

Established in 2005, the eLearning Africa annual conference and exhibition has grown into the largest and most comprehensive event for technology-enhanced education, training, and skills development on the African continent.
It serves as a global forum for professionals interested in education, training, and skills development in Africa, offering invaluable insights into the evolving world of technology-assisted learning. This year’s conference features a diverse, content-rich, and thought-provoking program that includes pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions, debates, discovery demos, knowledge factories, and an annual Ministerial Round Table. Additionally, a large exhibition area will showcase leading international and African educational and technology organizations.

KAIPTC COVID-19 Special Guidelines for International Course Facilitators and Course Participants travelling to KAIPTC:
1. Kindly read the Ghana Government, the KAIPTC COVID-19 General and Special Guidelines for International travellers carefully and be advised accordingly (click here to read);
2. It is mandatory to upgrade your health insurance to cover expenses for possible COVID-19 quarantine and treatment.
3. The cost of the three (3) COVID-19 PCR tests up to a total of USD 450 – will be reimbursed for participants of sponsored KAIPTC courses. The tests comprise one before embarkation to Ghana, one at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) and the final test prior to departing Ghana. All receipts are required for reimbursements to be made.
4. Course participants accommodated at KAIPTC are required to stay on-site during the entire duration of the course.
5. Neither the Ghana Government, the Ghana Ministry of Defence, KAIPTC, the Course Sponsor nor the organising country, can be held responsible in any way for further costs arising out of a positive COVID-19 test or a COVID-19 infection.

1. Veuillez lire attentivement les directives générales et spéciales du KAIPTC COVID-19 à l’intention des voyageurs internationaux et en tenir compte (cliquez ici pour lire – uniquement en anglais) ;
2. Il est obligatoire d’améliorer votre assurance santé pour couvrir les frais d’une éventuelle quarantaine et d’un traitement COVID-19.
3. Le coût des trois (3) tests PCR COVID-19 – jusqu’à un total de 450 USD – sera remboursé aux participants des cours parrainés par le KAIPTC. Les tests comprennent un test avant l’embarquement pour le Ghana, un test à l’aéroport international de Kotoka (KIA) et le test final avant le départ du Ghana. Tous les reçus sont nécessaires pour effectuer les remboursements.
4. Les participants aux cours hébergés au KAIPTC sont tenus de rester sur place pendant toute la durée du cours.
