KAIPTC EXPRESSES CONDOLENCE AND SOLIDARITY WITH THE REPUBLIC OF AUSTRIA

(Accra, 12th June, 2025) The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) extends its heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the Republic of Austria following the tragic school shooting in the city of Graz.

We are deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence, especially its devastating impact on young lives, families, educators, and the broader community. As an institution committed to the promotion of peace and security across the continent and globally, we join the Austrian people in mourning the lives lost and strongly condemn all forms of violence.

Austria remains a longstanding and valued partner of the KAIPTC, having supported our shared mission of building peaceful, resilient societies. In this moment of national grief, we stand in solidarity with the Austrian people and reaffirm our commitment to promoting values that uphold human dignity, peace, and nonviolence.

Our thoughts are with the bereaved families, the injured, and all those affected by this tragedy.
