KAIPTC Commences Corporate Security Officers Course to Enhance Global Corporate Security

Accra, Ghana – The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) has launched the Corporate Security Officers Course, a new flagship commercialized training programme designed to enhance the capacity of security professionals working in corporate organisations. The course aims to equip participants with the skills to manage internal and external risks effectively.

The maiden edition welcomed 21 participants from various corporate organisations in Ghana. Officials believe this training will empower participants to manage a wide range of potential threats to people, assets, information, and the reputation of organisations—including workplace violence prevention and emergency preparedness.

Inadequate training and low security awareness have contributed to the growing threat landscape, underscoring the urgent need for structured, practical capacity-building programmes to enhance operational security, business continuity, and disaster recovery.

Delivering remarks at the opening session, the Deputy Commandant of KAIPTC, Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo, noted that the course is not only a training opportunity but also a collaborative platform for professionals from diverse corporate backgrounds to share insights, network, and build partnerships beyond the classroom. He said the course aims to foster a unified approach to safeguarding corporate environments, ultimately supporting economic growth and stability.

“Seeking knowledge is key for sustainable peace and security,” he stated, adding, “As we strive for a peaceful, integrated, and prosperous Africa, it is imperative that we represent a continent of free citizens where the full potential of everyone is realized in a secure environment.”

Brig. Gen. Ayorrogo encouraged participants to take full advantage of the experience, highlighting the potential for new ideas and strategic alliances to emerge from the programme.

“By working together, you can contribute to achieving the shared vision of peace and security for your countries and beyond,” he emphasized.
