KAIPTC Celebrates over a decade of Cooperation, Bids Farewell to Norway, Germany and Danish Ambassadors

The Centre bid farewell to three of its long-standing development partners H.E. Ingrid Mollestad, H.E. Daniel Krull and H.E. Tom Norring, former Norwegian, German and Danish Ambassadors to Ghana respectively. Their farewells mark the close of pivotal chapters in KAIPTC’s enduring partnerships with the governments of Norway, Germany and Denmark, who have provided sustained financial and technical support to the Centre for over a decade.

Acting Commandant Air Commodore David Akrong paid glowing tribute to the Ambassadors for their leadership and the critical role their countries have played in strengthening KAIPTC’s capacity as a regional hub for peace and security training, research, and policy dialogue.

Ambassador Mollestad was recognised for Norway’s unwavering partnership with KAIPTC in advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda including the development of Ghana’s National Action Plans on WPS and community-based conflict prevention efforts.

Ambassador Krull was acknowledged for leading Germany’s critical institutional, technical, and financial assistance that has shaped training, research, and policy advocacy in peace and security.

Ambassador Norring was also lauded for Denmark’s central role in several initiatives including support to maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea.

The Ambassadors expressed appreciation for the strong collaboration with KAIPTC and the opportunity to contribute to regional peace and stability.

Their departure, while marking the end of personal tenures, reinforces the enduring partnership between the KAIPTC, Denmark, Germany and Norway — a partnership built on shared values, mutual trust, and a common vision for peace in Africa.
