Hanne Hagtvedt Vik
Hanne Hagtvedt Vik (PhD, History, University of Oslo) is Professor of International History at the University of Oslo. She is currently the Head of PhD training at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Oslo and has recently served as Director of the Norwegian Research School in History. She has previously been a visiting scholar at the European University in Florence, the Harvard Kennedy School, and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Prof. Vik recently co-authored the book "Norway after 1918: A Small Country in a Troubled World," where she contributes to topics such as migration, security politics, and cultural diversity. She has published extensively on the history of human rights, international anti-torture efforts, indigenous peoples' rights, and development aid in journals such as International History Review, International Journal on Minority and Group Rights, Journal of Global History, and Nordic Journal of Human Rights.
