As part of the ANCIP Webinar Series, KAIPTC’s Director of Research Dr. Emma Birikorang joined an expert panel on 18th July 2025 to reflect on ECOWAS’ 50-year journey. The discussion, themed “Reflections on Legitimacy, Intervention, and Regional Order,” brought together thought leaders including Amb. Abdel-Fatau Musah and Mona Saleh to assess ECOWAS’ role in regional peace and stability. The session was moderated by Prof. Christof Hartmann and hosted by the Institute for Development and Peace (INEF), University of Duisburg-Essen.
