The programme enhances research, capacity building, and policy dialogue to strengthen community resilience, governance systems, and regional cooperation. Primary objectives of the programme are to:

  • Enhance understanding of the linkages between climate change, migration, and security.
  • Strengthen institutional and community resilience to climate-related risks.
  • Support evidence-based policymaking and regional cooperation.
  • Promote peacebuilding approaches to climate and migration challenges

Under three thematic focus areas, which are – Climate change and human security; Climate change and state security; and Climate-induced mobility and displacement, the programme seeks to undertake research and policy analysis, capacity building, dialogue and advocacy platforms, and technical cooperation.
