Admissions open for PhD Programme (2026/2027 Academic Year)

The Faculty of Academic Affairs of KAIPTC invites qualified applicants for admission into its PhD Programme in Conflict, Peace and Security

Organization and Duration

  • The PhD programme runs for four (4) years with one (1) year coursework.

Requirements for Admission

Candidates are required to possess the following to qualify for admission:

  1. A good first degree (2nd Class Upper and above);
  2. MPhil or Master’s degree (Researched); and
  3. Excellent understanding and comprehension of English.

In addition, candidates are required to submit a thesis proposal. Previous experience in security-related issues as well as working in a conflict and peace environment is an advantage for admission. Only short-listed applicants will be contacted.

Ghanaian applicants GHC 500.00

International applicants GHC 1,000.00 (USD 100.00)

  1. Through Online Portal (VISA/MASTERCARD and Mobile Money-Ghana)

Through USSD

1. Dial *887*9# on all networks (Ghana)

2. Enter KAIPTC

3. Authorise Payment

4. User receives e-voucher via SMS after successful payment.

In a situation where the user does not receive an SMS after a period of successfully completing the transaction, they can retrieve the e-voucher using the following steps:

1. Dial *887*9# on all networks

2. Select “Yes”

3. Select “Retrieve E-Voucher”

4. The details of the E-Voucher are displayed (i.e. Voucher PIN)
