10th cohort for MCPS programme to matriculate in January 2020

The matriculation for the tenth cohort for the Master of Arts in Conflict Peace and Security (MCPS 10) will be held in January 2020.

As has been the custom, students will, prior to the matriculation ceremony, go through an orientation session that covers briefs on KAIPTC, details about the programme, the use of the library and, among others.

The Master of Arts in Conflict Peace and Security (MCPS), launched in 2011, is a one-year programme that covers topics such as Governance and Leadership, Leadership in Africa, Good Governance and Democratic Practice in Africa, as well as Research Method and Writing Skills. Since inception, over 500 students from Africa and other parts of the world have graduated, with many working in Security and Intelligence Institutions/Agencies, International and Regional Organizations, Civil/Public Servants, Members of Parliaments/Government, the Judiciary, Members from the Diplomatic Corps and Civil Society/Non-Governmental Organizations in Ghana, Africa and beyond.

Annual Departmental Retreats to commence in January 2020

On resumption from the Christmas break, the four departments at KAIPTC – the Office of the Commandant/Policy, Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Department, the Training Departments, the Faculty of Academic Affairs and Research, and the Administration Department – will hold their annual retreats.

The retreats discuss the strategic direction for each department for the year, serves as an opportunity to share ideas and facilitate ownership of the plan for the year, whiles also serving as an opportunity for team building and bonding.
