WPSI, Government of Denmark to hold webinar on ‘Integrating Gender Perspective into Project Design and Implementation’.

The Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) through its Women, Peace and Security Institute (WPSI) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark will organize a webinar under the theme: “Integrating Gender Perspectives in Project Design and Implementation”.

The webinar comes off Tuesday 17th May 2022 from 10am to 12pm GMT on MS Teams via this link; https://msteams.link/YRGU

The webinar aims at providing a platform for key actors to share achievements and address challenges in integrating gender perspective into national and regional levels projects and initiatives to reduce gender inequality in peace and security spaces.

Additionally, the webinar is expected to serve as a channel of advocacy to urge actors to integrate gender mainstreaming in all projects design and implementation to achieve sustainable peace and security in the West African sub-region in particular.

The webinar is targeted at all stakeholders working to promote the Women Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda; experts working to promote Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment; key actors implementing projects within governance, peace and security spaces; policy makers; Gender Advisors; Mission Planners; institutional and organizations Gender Focal Points among others.

It is important to note that, the webinar is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark and informed by the KAIPTC Strategic Objective three of its 5-year Strategic Plan (2019-2023) which focuses on building African capacity to fully implement protocols and resolutions on Women, Peace and Security Agenda in the context of Africa in particular.
